A few weeks ago I was invited to participate in an event to raise money for SHOOTING STAR CHASE , a leading Children’s Hospice Charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. They do a great job by supporting families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
This event was organised by my friend Alessandra, a passioned good hearted italian who has been supporting the charity for a long time and is also interested in art. She invited me to participate along with other artists such as Carola Syz , a great artist who exhibited her photography work and also curated the event. It was a big venue with delicious food, drinks, life music and a DJ.
I was very excited and privileged to be part of the event. It was a challenge and a fun experience getting the brushes and painting in front of 150 people and being able to raise funds for the charity.
Please have a look at the video and the article “Contemporary artist Dairo Vargas displays his virtuosity amid feast of creative work at Notting Hill party” by James Brewer. They can give you a good summary of the event if you missed it.
